Tradition and innovation: when craftsmanship becomes an advanced system

Falegnameria De Vecchio represents one of the most significant developments in the field of contract woodworking. A path built with method, targeted investments, and a clear vision: to transform artisanal expertise into a technologically advanced production system, while preserving the material's culture. Located in San Quirino, in the province of Pordenone, the company has developed an advanced artisanal model capable of integrating Industry 4.0 structure and sensitivity to the materials being worked.

The company was born from a direct knowledge of wood, the ability to read its grain and understand the material's behavior before it even enters the machine. This foundation hasn't been abandoned: it's been strengthened. Today, that sensitivity lives within a production facility that integrates latest-generation CNC machining centers, robotic systems, and continuous digital control. Technology hasn't replaced experience: it has made it structural, but it was software integration that made it manageable.

Since 2000, the company has consistently invested in technological innovation, building a fleet of machinery capable of simultaneously tackling complex processes, prototyping, and serial production. In 2018, the "Company 4.0" configuration was officially launched, with a complete overhaul of production flows aimed at increasing precision, speed, and repeatability. However, the real qualitative leap was not the expansion of the machinery fleet, but the decision to restructure the entire information system to support production.

Contract manufacturing is the heart of our operations. Our clients, primarily furniture companies in Northern Italy and the Tri-Veneto region, entrust materials and technical specifications with high-quality and dimensional requirements. In this model, precision and traceability aren't just added value: they're a prerequisite. It's precisely this requirement that led Falegnameria De Vecchio to seek a solution that seamlessly connects the technical, planning, and production departments.

The collaboration with SPAI began four years ago. It wasn't simply a matter of introducing new tools, but of jointly designing an integrated digital architecture. The production process was analyzed, streamlined, and made circular: every piece of data entered in the office had to be automatically operational on the machine, without redundancies or manual steps.

The core of the system is the integration between Easy Prod Manager and Optimo. Orders arrive with structured technical fields; once verified, they are uploaded to EPM, which integrates them into the central database and manages the entire production cycle.

Optimo optimizes cutting plans, maximizing material yield and thus reducing waste. The pre-processed cutting plan is sent directly to the panel saw, eliminating manual transcription and interpretation.

Each piece is identified by a customized label containing a barcode, serial number, dedicated fields, and customer-specific technical references. The label isn't just a simple code, but an operational tool that accompanies the piece throughout the entire production cycle. Consistency between the office and the production department is ensured by the system: the data uploaded to Easy Prod Manager is also available for CNC reading, ensuring information continuity and drastically reducing the risk of error.

Integration also extends to automated lines, where code reading allows the machine to automatically match the correct program, activating pick-and-place and automatic rotation operations. The operator doesn't need to interpret: the system is already aligned.

A key aspect of the collaboration with SPAI was real-time data monitoring. Production becomes visible and measurable. From the office, it's possible to monitor machine status, order progress, processing times, and quantities produced by item and customer. The data is no longer a post-hoc summary, but a daily management tool. This has improved planning, responsiveness, and the strength of customer relationships.

Management of ongoing production has been particularly significant. In collaboration with SPAI, tools have been developed that allow for intervention on previously launched programs, modification of information fields, and maintenance of historical consistency without fragmenting data. This flexibility, combined with control, is one of the system's strengths today.

The results are tangible: reduced lead times, greater plant utilization, stable planning, and increased production performance. The company has been able to grow while maintaining control and quality, without losing its artisanal identity.

At the same time, Falegnameria De Vecchio has consolidated advanced skills in the processing of heat-treated oak, HPL, and FENIX, sectors where parametric precision and surface quality are crucial. The difference is that today this expertise is supported by a structured digital system that makes every process repeatable and traceable.

The path taken demonstrates a clear entrepreneurial vision: investing not just in machinery, but in method. The collaboration with SPAI has not simply provided software, but has built an integrated organizational system that supports growth and strengthens market credibility.

Today, Falegnameria De Vecchio stands out as a high-profile technical partner in the woodworking industry, capable of combining artisanal flexibility with complete digital process control. A model in which people, machines, and software work together seamlessly, generating structural value for the company and its customers.

From tradition to innovation, at Falegnameria De Vecchio, is not a declaration of intent: it is a constructed, integrated and governed system.
